About the Artist

Capturing the feeling of a place or moment in time and sharing it with others is what drives Linda Kubecka and her passion for oil painting en plein air. Returning to fine art in 2018 after a career as a graphic designer she discovered the rewards of painting outdoors and was hooked.

Whether it is the warm sparkle of a sunny landscape, or the drama of an approaching storm, her paintings invite the viewer to experience the emotional response she has to the scene.

“I love it when someone is drawn to the very thing about my painting that I was trying to express.” she says.

She draws inspiration from fellow painters in her local plein air groups, art shows, workshops and events, and believes one never stops growing as an artist. She is a member of Oil Painters of America and was chosen as a “Florida's Finest” Ambassador at Forgotten Coast en Plein Air. 

When not painting outdoors she can be found in her studio, either in Bradenton, Florida or in the mountains of western North Carolina.
